# EncDeviceTool

## What is the EncDeviceTool?

As for encoders, EncDeviceTool is just one tool designed for below:

* Searching encoders in the attached network;
* Quickly modifying IP addresses in batch;
* Upgrading the latest firmware for encoders in batch;
* Restoring the encoder to the default factory settings;
* Rebooting the encoder;
* Modifying the password;

:man\_mage: **Tips:**  Usually it's only designed for the above features, it's not workable to do more settings like wireless connection via EncDeviceTool.
